Born March 16, 1967 in Novosibirsk. In 1989 he graduated from the Omsk State Institute of Physical Culture. He is the current coach of the Russian national team of girls to 19 years.

Achievements as a coach:

• Gold European championship among girls under 16 years of age (head coach, 2010)
• Silver European championship among girls under 18 years of age (head coach, 2012)

Achievements as a player:

• European Champion in the Russian team of girls under 17 years of age (1984)
• European Champion in the Russian team of girls under 19 years (1986)

Married, daughter Nadezhda Maiorova - player of WBC "Yenisey".
